Before patients can be admitted or discharged in Rio, the relevant master tables must be populated. Some tables use national codes; others are configured locally to your organisation. All mandatory admission fields must have corresponding master table entries before go live.
⚠️Important: The following fields are mandatory on the Admission screen and must be completed before saving: Admission Date, Admission Source, Admission Method, Client Classification, Legal Status on Admission, Psychiatric Patient Status, and Administrative Category. Ensure all corresponding master tables are populated before go live.

📌Note: The ImsDest and ImsMethod system constants control whether Discharge Destination and Discharge Method are mandatory or optional on the Discharge screen. Configure these per the Rio System Administration System Constants Guide before go live.
