Unable to save progress note on Appointment Outcome screen due to error: Invalid token error

This issue can occur when a progress note contains invalid characters. These characters are often introduced when text is copied from a third party website or application. Such characters cannot be processed in RIO.


Resolution

  • If you have access to a tool like Notepad++, you can use it to identify and remove any invalid characters from the note.

  • Alternatively, please type talk to a person and the Digital Assistant will put you through to a live support agent. Ensure to include the note text that the user is trying to save so our team can assist.


Additional guidance

  • When copying text from external sources, ensure it is plain text to avoid hidden characters.

  • Removing formatting before pasting into RIO can help prevent this issue.
