Certain symbols or combinations of symbols are not permitted in Progress Notes because they may compromise data security.
When text is pasted from Word or similar editors, it can include hidden formatting characters that RIO does not allow.
Workaround
Convert the text to plain text before pasting into RIO:
Copy the text from Word.
Paste it into Notepad, or another plain text editor.
Copy the text from Notepad and paste it into RIO.
This removes hidden formatting and unsupported characters.
