Unable to outcome an appointment booked through Choose and Book

When a clinician attempts to outcome the clinic appointment that was booked using e-Referral System an error message regarding the spine booked status is shown.

It is not currently possible to edit this appointment as its status is Pending Booked Spine or Pending Cancelled spine.


Creating the menu item

  1. Go to Menu Configuration.

  2. Click System Configuration Menu 2.

  3. Select Add New Menu Item.

  4. Give the name: CABIssueResolution.

  5. Leave the item as Please Select.

  6. Enter the URL: ../CABServices/CABIssueResolution.aspx. Ensure the .. at the start.

  7. Donโ€™t tick Locally Restricted.

  8. Leave the Icon URL blank.

  9. Click save.


Adding the RBAC codes

  1. Search for the code B0270 and select the text.

  2. Select the CABIssueResolution from the available menu items and select to transfer it over to the Current Baseline.

  3. Click to Update B Code.


Adding Role access to menu item

  1. Go back to the System Configuration menu 2 in the Menu Configuration page.

  2. Select Role Access next to the CABIssueResolution menu item.

  3. Select which roles you want to allow to view and access this menu item, might be easiest with all and transfer them from available roles to current baseline.

  4. Click Update Roles.

  5. Close the window, log out and back in and the menu item should appear at the top of the System Configuration Menu 2.


Using the screen

  1. Navigate to the new CABIssueResolution menu item, search for the name you have just configured.

  2. Select the affected clinic from the drop down menu on the left.

  3. Leave the status drop down menu as All.

  4. Filter using the From To dates. Use the date on which the appointment was booked, not the date the appointment is booked for. For example, if your appointment was booked on 1 January 2024, with an intended date of attendance on 10 January 2024, you will need to filter your search using January 1st.

  5. Once your client's appointment has been located, select the option Fully book appointment. Once this is complete, you can navigate to the standard appointment diaries in which you can cancel, reschedule or outcome as normal.
