The Clinical Portal includes a Safety Navigation panel that gives you one click access to the most important safety screens in Rio. Rather than navigating through the main menu, you can go directly to alerts, risk assessments, care plans, and more from the Safety Overview tab.
Use the Safety Navigation panel
On the Safety Overview tab, locate the Safety Navigation panel. It contains a list of links to key safety screens. Click any link to go directly to that screen for the current patient:
Active Alerts: View, add, and manage patient alerts.
Risk Assessments: Access all risk assessment forms for this patient.
Care Plans: View and update care plans and interventions.
SNOMED Summary: View the full SNOMED term history with filters.
Safeguarding: Access safeguarding documentation.
MHA Administration: Access Mental Health Act documentation.
Progress Notes: Record and review clinical notes.
Audit Trail: Review who has accessed this patient's record.
đNote: The links available in your Safety Navigation panel may vary depending on your organisation's configuration. Contact your system administrator if a link you expect to see is not shown.
Access safety links from anywhere in the patient record
Safety navigation links may also be available in the Actions menu on the Client Banner at the top of the screen. If your organisation has configured this, you can access key safety screens from anywhere within the patient's record, not just from the Clinical Portal.
To use this, click Actions in the Client Banner and select the screen you want to open from the menu.
đ¤Tip: Using the Actions menu in the Client Banner means you can jump to a safety screen and return to exactly where you were without losing your place in the patient record.
