Intermittent error when navigating between clinics

Guidance on intermitted error when navigating between clinics.

Users intermittently receive the following error message when navigating between clinics:

The action you have just performed has caused an error. Please contact your help desk or system administrator.

This occurs only for specific users and does not appear consistently.


The issue occurs in two scenarios:

  1. User access removed:
    A user still has an open clinic tab for a clinic to which they no longer have access.

  2. Clinic closed while tab was open:
    If a clinic is closed or marked deleted, while a user still has an open tab, the tab remains stored in the AmsClinicUserDisplay table. This stale entry leads to the intermittent error message.


If access has been removed

  • The user can manually close the clinic tab in their system.

  • Once closed, the error should no longer appear.


If the clinic has been closed

  • This scenario requires a data fix, please type talk to a person and the Digital Assistant will put you through to a live support agent.

  • A support engineer will action a data fix to remove stale clinic tab entries.
