Unlink client from the Spine

How to unlink a client record from the Spine in Rio. Steps differ depending on your Rio version, 23.11.00 or later allows self service.

This article explains how to unlink a client record from the Spine in Rio. The steps available to you depend on your Rio version.

Check Rio version

Confirm your organisation is on Rio 23.11.00 or later:

  • Select Help, then About in Access Rio.

  • Verify version number displayed.

Access the Spine Unlink screen

If you are on Rio version 23.11.00 or later, go to:

  1. LIVE Rio, click Menu.

  2. Select the Black Cog then Client Unlink from Spine.

Configure Menu item if not visible

If the Menu item is missing, configure it manually. You need B0062 - Local System Administration permission. Proceed as follows:

  1. Select Menu, then click the Black Cog.

  2. Menu Configuration, Main Menu.

  3. Configuration Item, Add New Menu Item.

  4. Enter details:

    • Name: Client Unlink from Spine

    • Item: Please Select

    • URL: ../Demographics/DemUnlinkClientFromSpine.asp

    • Position: 145

    • B Code Access: B0062 - Local System Administration

If your RIO version is below 23.11.00

You cannot action the unlink yourself.

Type talk to a person and the Digital Assistant will put you through to a live support agent. Include:

  • ClientID to be unlinked.
