f auto save does not appear to be working as expected, the steps below cover the most common causes and how to resolve them. If you are unsure about any system settings mentioned, contact your System Administrator.
Auto save timestamp is not appearing beneath the Progress Note
The auto saved timestamp beneath the note field only appears once auto save has fired. If it is not showing, auto save has not yet triggered.
Cause: Mandatory fields such as Note Type have not been completed. Auto save will not fire until all mandatory fields are filled in and the note text area is active.
Resolution: Complete all mandatory fields first. The note text area will then become available and auto save will begin firing at the configured interval.
Assessment form is not showing as Auto saved after a session timeout
If the form does not appear with the Auto saved status label after your session ended, one or more of the following may apply.
Cause one: The form is not a Type 4 or Type 6 form. Auto save is only supported on these form types.
Cause two: Validation has not been enabled on the form by the System Administrator.
Cause three: The Date/Time of completion of assessment was not entered before the session timed out.
Resolution: Contact your System Administrator to confirm the form type and validation settings. Ensure you always enter the Date/Time of completion as the first step when opening an assessment form.
No To Do List notification appeared after an auto saved Assessment Form
Cause: The To Do List or notification may not be configured for your user account, or auto save did not trigger (see the issue above).
Resolution: Navigate directly to the client's assessment index screen and look for forms with the Auto-saved status label. Contact your System Administrator if To Do List notifications are not appearing for you.
Auto save did not work when my smart card was removed
Cause: This is a known limitation on Windows XP. Auto save does not work when a smart card is removed if Rio is open in the window launched by the Identity Agent.
Resolution: Always use a separate browser window for Rio, do not use the window launched by the Identity Agent. This is a known platform limitation on Windows XP.
An auto saved Progress Note is showing but I cannot validate it
Cause: Auto saved notes are unvalidated by design. Only the originator of the note or a user with the appropriate access level can validate it.
Resolution: Open the auto saved note, review the content, complete any missing fields, and then validate it. If the note was entered on behalf of someone else, only that person can validate it once they have confirmed the content is correct.
Progress Note text was lost despite auto save being active
Cause: Auto save only fires if mandatory fields were completed and some text had been entered into the note text area. If the session ended before any text was entered, there is nothing to save.
Resolution: Always complete mandatory fields and enter at least some note text before stepping away from Rio.
đ¤Tip: If you are unsure whether a draft was saved, contact your System Administrator, they can check whether a draft record exists for your session.
