The Ward Operational Plan is a key configuration element that links a ward to its operational settings, including Therapeutic Observations support, available clinical indicators, and reports. Every ward must have a Ward Operational Plan assigned before it can be used.

The table below describes each setting and the recommended configuration for mental health inpatient wards.

Therapeutic Observations Support | Enables the Therapeutic Observations Management module for this ward. | Enable for all mental health inpatient wards. |
Indicators | Clinical indicators displayed on the ward management screen. | Configure locally relevant indicators (e.g. MHA status, risk flags). |
Reports | Reports available from the ward management screen. | Configure ward level reports (e.g. bed occupancy, leave summary). |
AM/PM Times | Start and end times for AM and PM sessions, used by the Team Daily Planner. | Set to local ward shift times. |
