Use the Bed Swap action when you need to move a patient to a different bed but all beds are occupied. The two patients swap beds simultaneously in a single action, no bed needs to be vacated first.
Swap beds
Access the Bed Layout View and click the bed of the patient you want to move.
Select Transfer, then click Bed Swap. The Bed Swap screen is displayed with the first patient's details in the First Client section.
If required, adjust the Date of Swap from the current date and time to an earlier date or time.
Select the second patient's bed from the ward layout. You can also change specialty, consultant, other consultant, and named nurse by clicking the green arrow button.
Click Save.
The two patients' bed allocations are swapped.
