Unable to select referral when confirming a diagnosis

This article explains why a referral may not appear when confirming a diagnosis and how to resolve the issue.

Issue

Users may find that they are unable to select a referral when trying to confirm a diagnosis in RIO.


Cause

A referral will only appear for selection if an appointment has been booked against that referral using an outpatient appointment type.

If no such appointment exists, the referral will not be available for selection.


Resolution

To ensure the referral appears:

  1. Book an outpatient appointment against the referral.

  2. Return to the diagnosis confirmation screen and try again.


If the referral still does not show

If you still cannot select the referral after following the steps above:

  • Open the Digital Assistant.

  • Type talk to a person.

  • A live support agent will assist you further.
