ePathways: Overview

Learn how to assign clients to pathways, track progress through phases and actions, complete pathway activities, and manage pathway completion in Access Rio EPR.

Written by Connor Baeza

Overview

ePathways enables organisations to manage and monitor care pathways within Access Rio EPR. Pathways help standardise care delivery by guiding users through a series of phases and actions for a client or patient.

A pathway consists of:

  • Pathway: The overall care plan assigned to a client.

  • Phase: A stage within the pathway, such as Assessment or Treatment.

  • Action: An individual task within a phase.

📌Note: This article is intended for clinical users. Creation and configuration of pathway templates is managed by your System Administrator.

Before you begin

To use ePathways:

  • The ePathways module must be enabled for your organisation.

  • Active pathway templates must be available.

  • Your security profile must include access to the Pathways menu.

  • Some pathways require an active referral.

If you cannot access the Pathways menu, contact your System Administrator.
