Steps to link a Smartcard
Navigate to People Management.
Filter the list to locate the specific RIO user account.
Select Edit User.
In the LoginID section, click the Spine button.
Choose the correct Smartcard UUID from the list.
Click Save.
Important notes
For a user’s UUID to appear in the list, the First Name and Surname registered in RIO must exactly match the name on the user’s Smartcard.
If the UUID does not appear, please contact your internal RA team to verify the Smartcard details before attempting again.
Error when linking UUID
If you see the following message:
Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.GenUser' with unique index 'IX_GenUser'. The duplicate key value is (insert UUID here).
Please type talk to a person in the Digital Assistant. You’ll be transferred to a live support agent for further help.
