Solution

To ensure the correct name appears on the SARs report, update the effective dates on the client's name records. Follow the below steps:

  1. Click on the Client Demographics screen.

  2. Review all name records listed for the client.

  3. Identify which name you want to appear on the SARs report.

  4. Ensure this name has an effective date later than any other existing name records.

  5. Save your changes and reโ€‘run the SARs report.

Problem

When running a SARs report, the system will always display the client name that has the latest effective date.

This can result in the report showing a name that is not the primary name, such as an alias or previous name, if that name record has the most recent effective date.

Cause

SARs reports are designed to use the name record that is considered most current.

The system determines this by selecting the client name with the latest effective date, regardless of whether it is the preferred or primary name.
