Issue
When searching for a postcode, you may see the following warning:
Unable to find PAF key.
This happens when the postcode is new and does not yet exist in the PAF, Postcode Address File. NHS Digital have deprecated the Gazetteer Service API, which means the PAF file is no longer updated or maintained.
Cause
The postcode you are searching for is newly created.
It has not been added to the PAF file due to the service no longer being maintained.
Workaround
You can continue by entering the address manually.
Status
This is a known limitation due to the Gazetteer Service deprecation. No automated fix is currently available.
