You may experience issues entering the correct Section 3 start date when Section 2 has been extended due to an AWOL return.

Issue

You may find that you are unable to enter the correct start date and time on Section 3.

This typically happens when the Section 2 expiry date was extended because the patient returned Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL).

As a result, the system may continue using the original Section 2 expiry date, preventing you from adding the correct Section 3 start date.

Example:

A user attempts to enter the Section 3 start date, but the field is locked or rejects the correct date following an AWOL related extension of Section 2.
